With real estate becoming a premium, urban living needs an array of solutions that can suit different lifestyles.

In Asian countries like Hong Kong where micro apartments are increasingly the norm, multi-function is a key consideration in the furniture purchasing process.

OPSH’s customisable and modular Pole System has been a godsend, especially for homeowners strapped for space. The eco-friendly system allows for flexible configurations with various add-ons to match customer requirements, which also means it can be a direct replacement for certain furniture items. It also helps that the well-designed system can satisfy the aesthetic expectations of house proud owners looking beyond utility.

Dream cabinets are easily within reach and with enhancements such as OPSH’s Auratac® magnetic glassboards and mirrors installed into OPSH’s sliding door systems, greater usage can be milked from an already feature-rich system. Need a writing board to scribble quick reminders? The Auratac® magnetic glassboards can do a wonderful job and more.

Moving to a new home can be both exciting and stressful, with months of preparation work and the acquisition of new furniture and appliances. OPSH Pole System customers will appreciate the handy after sales service of moving an existing system to a new house. In fact, one South Korean client formerly based in Singapore was so enamoured with the system that he asked to ship his to Korea when he returned to his home country.

With modular systems, mixing and matching are entirely at the customers’ disposal – from book shelves to TV consoles, the possibilities are aplenty. Not just for residential purposes, the Pole System shines in an office setting as well, especially in an open office concept.

Sungei Emas Pte Ltd was transformed from a hardware company, specialised in hardware fittings and trading. When Mr Kelvin Kwek joined the company started by his father, he decided to venture into the manufacturing and design of pole system wardrobes and father and son co-founded the brand OPSH® and started off with pole system wardrobes in 1999.

In 2003, they started to manufacture and design modular glass kitchens and incorporated that into OPSH®.

With an emphasis on designing its own products in line with the motto,  “modern art of fine living”,  Sungei Emas believes in creating customer-centric lifestyle solutions through space saving and customised products that suits the needs of its urbanite clientele.

A re-branding exercise is in the works to prepare the company for overseas penetration — a positive sign for a growing company that has seen the benefits of how well-designed products have boosted its bottom-line and an exemplary example for other industry players.
